Dynamic QR Code Payment

Dynamic QR Code Payment works the same way as any QR use case: point a phone camera at the code and the action happens, no app, no typing.

The Problem This Solves

Without a QR code, dynamic payment usually means someone typing a long URL, an email address, or a phone number by hand, and mistakes creep in. A scan removes that step entirely.

Setting One Up

Pick the QR type that matches the content (this page uses url), enter the details, then customise colours and shape if you want it to match a brand. Download and place it where it will be scanned.

Best Practices for Dynamic QR Code Payment

Test the code on more than one phone before printing. Keep good contrast between the dots and the background. Print at a minimum of 2cm x 2cm, larger if it will be scanned from further away. Put it somewhere well lit with a short line of text telling people what scanning it does.

Tips

  • Keep a quiet zone (white space) around the QR code for reliable detection.
  • Print QR codes at a minimum of 2cm x 2cm, larger for distance scanning.
  • Avoid placing QR codes on curved surfaces or highly reflective materials.
  • Shorter content creates simpler codes that scan faster from further away.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which download format should I choose?
SVG for print (infinite scalability), PNG for digital use and social media, JPEG for smaller file sizes. SVG is the safest choice for most use cases.
Is the Dynamic QR Code Payment generator free?
Yes, completely free with no sign-up, no watermark, and no limits. Generate as many QR codes as you need.
What is the best size for printing a QR code?
Minimum 2cm x 2cm (about 0.8 inches) for close-range scanning. For posters or signs viewed from a distance, increase the size proportionally. A rough rule: 1cm of QR code for every 10cm of scanning distance.
Do QR codes created here expire?
No. Our QR codes are static: the data is encoded directly in the code. They work as long as the linked content exists.
